Saint George At Ascot is a thriving boarding and day school for girls aged 11 to 18. Founded in 1877 as a preparatory school for boys, with 41 pupils, this was the school that Winston Churchill attended at the age of seven. It became a girls’ school in 1904 when Miss Pakenham-Walsh opened it as a finishing school.
